• 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
• Includes days, nights, weekends, and rotating holidays
• FTE: 0.9 FTE / 36 hours per week

Position Highlights:

• 100% Remote role – must hold an active California NP license
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, RNs, MSWs, and support specialists
• Provide acute assessments and treatment in emergency and inpatient settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat patients in EDs, inpatient units, and crisis stabilization facilities
• Evaluate for suicide and violence risk; determine level of care
• Initiate direct admit orders and collaborate with accepting facilities
• Assist with rounding, care coordination, and crisis response planning
• Support staff education and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Track performance metrics and contribute to quality improvement efforts
• Collaborate with health professionals to promote coordinated patient care

Requirements:
Education & Experience:

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program
• Completion of an accredited PMHNP program (Master’s or Doctorate required)

Licensure & Certification:

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
• Federal and State DEA certification required
• APRN licensure in additional states (where Avel eCare provides inpatient services) required within 9 months of hire
• Must complete state-specific certification/education requirements as applicable
