Job Summary:


HCA HealthONE Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Specialists (CTSS) is seeking an experienced thoracic surgery advanced practice provider to join their busy team

Qualified Candidates:


 
  • General thoracic surgery experience as an APP preferred; thoracic surgery first assist experience a major plus
  • Support surgeries and general consultations at HCA HealthONE Swedish and HCA HealthONE Aurora
  • Educate patients and their family members about thoracic conditions, treatment, and postoperative care
  • Monday-Friday schedule, plus shared call and weekend rounding between multiple providers
  • Inpatient rounding responsibilities including surgical consultations, postoperative care, and discharge management
  • Clinic responsibilities including managing postoperative patients and play a vital role in program development coordinating care with referring pulmonologists, oncologists, and primary care providers
  • New or upcoming graduates interested in a surgery practice will be considered
  • Team-oriented, multi-tasker with a willingness to learn and hone skills and improve quality

About HCA HealthONE Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Specialists (CTSS), HCA HealthONE Swedish (Swedish), and HCA HealthONE Aurora (Aurora):
 
  • CTSS is made up of a board-certified thoracic surgeon, two board certified cardiac surgeons, and three APPs
  • CTSS physicians have extensive training and experience performing a wide range of complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries with a focus on patient recovery and success
  • Swedish is a 504-bed Level I trauma center that has been serving the south Denver metro area for over 110 years
  • Aurora is a 269-bed, level II trauma center that has served the greater Denver area since 1974
