Job Description

SSM Health Orthopedics-First Capitol Drive on the campus of SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles, is recruiting for an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Advanced Practitioner.  The Orthopedic specialists are known throughout the St. Louis region offers a broad range of services that address the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.

Job Highlights:

  • Care for acute and established patients with sports-related injuries in a clinic and inpatient setting.
  • See post-op patients and perform joint injections as well as occasionally cover surgical first assist.
  • Anticipated clinic schedule of Mon/Wed/Fri at SSM Health Orthopedics-First Capitol Drive.
  • Provide surgical first assist at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital-St. Charles on Tues/Thurs.
  • The schedule is Monday-Friday business hours
  • No Call/No Evenings/No Weekends
  • Anticipated clinical volume of 10-15 patients per day once onboarded
  • Join an experienced and dedicated team of Orthopedic Surgeons and APP’s
  • Full support staff in place including MA/RN
  • Strong department onboarding and mentorship. 
  • Fantastic team and department culture and collaboration.

Qualifications: 

  • Orthopedic Surgery experience
  • Surgical First Assist experience
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification or PA-C
  • Ability to obtain licensure in the state of Missouri
