APP Emergency Medicine Opportunity in the West Virginia Mountains

Join a supportive, mission-driven Emergency Medicine team at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV—a scenic, community-centered town just 2 hours from Pittsburgh. This is an ideal role for experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants looking for stability, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to make a difference in a rural setting.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Emergency Medicine APPs to join our growing team. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced ED with a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

• ED Volume: 23,409 annual visits (~64 per day)
• ED Beds: 21
• ICU Beds: 9
• Trauma Designation: Level IV
• Admission Rate: ~8%
• EMR: Paragon
• APP Shifts: Mix of day and night shifts; 12-hour shifts
• Model: Team-based coverage with physician oversight

Ideal Candidate

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Minimum of 1 year Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Comfortable managing a variety of acuity levels
• Willing to work both day and night shifts (or nocturnist only)
