Urgent Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Position Overview

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNPs) to join our growing network of urgent care locations throughout the Lehigh Valley. Our urgent care is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality care for common illnesses, minor injuries, and acute procedures—for patients of all ages.

As a CRNP in LVHN Urgent Care, you will provide timely, high-quality care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will treat patients of all ages and manage a broad range of acute concerns. Responsibilities include: 

• Diagnosing and managing common illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, UTIs, rashes, and gastrointestinal issues 

• Performing urgent care procedures including laceration repair, splinting, I&Ds, abscess care, and foreign body removal 

• Treating minor injuries including sprains, strains, and simple fractures, with access to on-site X-ray 

• Ordering and interpreting point-of-care tests (e.g., rapid strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis, ECGs) 

• Providing patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care 

• Collaborating with physicians and other advanced practice clinicians (APCs) to ensure efficient, patient-centered care 

• Documenting care in the EMR and coordinating referrals or follow-up as needed 

Key Highlights 

• Open 365 days a year, 8 AM – 8 PM 

• Flexible, full-time scheduling with shared weekend and holiday rotations 

• CRNPs will have a primary site assignment, with the expectation to rotate to multiple urgent care centers to support clinical coverage 

• No occupational medicine or DOT physicals

Qualifications

• Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, or a similar specialty 

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program 

• Valid Pennsylvania CRNP license (or ability to obtain) 

• Board Certification required 

• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience as a CRNP preferred
