Job Summary

 

Pottstown Hospital’s Occupational Health & Travel Medicine group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team. Our robust program has been serving the employers of the Tri County region for more than 30 years. Our clients consider us an extension of their team to help ensure their employees are healthy and safe while on the job. We provide comprehensive Occupational Health services to meet the needs of companies from the new hire onboarding examination and substance abuse screenings to all other periodic testing requirements throughout their employment. The Travel Medicine program exists to meet the needs of travelers prior to their trip, ensuring they are prepared from both a safety and health perspective.

 

Highlights:

  • We utilize Systoc, a dedicated Occupational Health EMR within our office alongside the hospital’s EPIC EMR, ensuring seamless integration across the Tower Health system.
  • The NP will provide employment physical exams, Department of Transportation (DOT) exams. Workman's Comp injury care and management with knowledge of OSHA recordability to assist with early return to work, (including laceration repairs and basic procedures); review of diagnostic and ancillary services performed within the clinic (Spirometry, x-rays, POCT, audiograms, EKGs, etc.). Medical surveillance exams and OSHA regulated evaluations such as hearing tests, respirator medical clearances, periodic hazardous materials exposure monitoring etc.  Communication with client company representatives to inform them of work status, exam results and follow up needs, etc.
  • The NP will also participate in providing Travel Medicine services for individuals who are traveling to rural areas either within the states or outside of the country. 
  • Procedures expected to perform:  laceration repairs, nail trephination, wound care, Injections, etc.
  • No major holidays, or on-call responsibility
  • Office hours Monday-Friday

*All applicants must be certified, with an active Professional Pennsylvania license (NP).  

BLS and ACLS must be current.
