Position Summary
Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative orthopedic team. This role offers a mix of outpatient and inpatient care, including patient evaluations, pre- and post-operative management, and First Assist in the operating room (training provided if needed). You’ll work closely with experienced physicians in a supportive environment that values teamwork, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
NCCPA certification (for PAs) or VT Board of Nursing licensure (for NPs)
Vermont state license
DEA registration
Experience
3–5 years of direct patient care experience required
1–2 years in an orthopedic setting preferred
First Assist experience preferred (training available)
Key Responsibilities
Conduct history and physical exams
Provide pre- and post-operative care
Diagnose and prescribe treatment
Develop and manage care plans in collaboration with physicians
Utilize ancillary services as appropriate
Serve as First Assist in the operating room
Additional Role Details
Participation in shared on-call rotation (approximately once a month)
