Position Summary
The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years of clinical experience (primary care and Epic experience preferred) to join our Primary Care Adult Medicine team in Essex, Vermont.
This is a 1.0 FTE exempt position with primary shift coverage of M-F with no evening or on-call requirements. The weekend requirement is 1 Saturday per quarter for a total of 4 per year.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to patients in various states of health or illness in collaboration with one or more physicians
Address acute medical needs
Manage timely responses to patient messages and medication requests
Collaborate with the Practice Supervisor, APP Lead, and Site Medical Director
Education & Licensure Requirements
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Current National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Active Vermont APRN license and eligibility for prescriptive authority
Experience
Minimum 2 years of clinical NP experience preferred
Primary care and Epic EMR experience highly desirable
This is a bargaining union position.
