Advance Practitioner - In Patient Cardiology

Inpatient Cardiology APRN or PA – Renown Health Beautiful Lake Tahoe/Reno Area Practice

Renown Health, northern Nevada’s largest health system and the only not-for-profit, integrated health network in the Reno area, is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Cardiology APRN or PA to join our dynamic, physician-led multispecialty medical group. This full-time role follows a 7-on/7-off rotation and is based in our acute care setting, providing direct cardiovascular care in collaboration with Renown Health cardiologists.

Renown serves a population of over 1 million patients across northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe, and northeast California. As the region’s only Level II trauma center and ECMO-capable facility between Salt Lake City and Sacramento, we offer a robust and collaborative environment for advanced practice providers.

Located just 25 minutes from the nearest ski resort and 35 minutes from the shores of Lake Tahoe, Reno offers a mild four-season climate, over 300 days of sunshine, and access to world-class outdoor recreation. With a vibrant midtown/downtown district, growing tech scene, and no state income tax, Reno blends big-city amenities with small-town charm.

 

Position Details

  • Full-time employed position with Renown’s Cardiovascular Service Line

  • Inpatient-focused role with a 7-on/7-off schedule

  • Collaborate with cardiologists to manage acute, chronic, and complex cardiac patients

  • Participate in patient rounds, diagnostic procedures, treatment planning, and family education

  • Emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, and patient advocacy

  • Active role in quality assurance, peer review, and clinical education

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current APRN or PA

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in inpatient cardiology settings

  • Commitment to ethical practice, continuing education, and clinical excellence

  • Experience in cardiology or inpatient medicine preferred
