Endocrinology AP Opportunity - Diabetes

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group.  Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.  We are seeking a board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team.

 Position Highlights –

• Join our growing team of 8 endocrinologists, 3 advanced practitioners and a strong support team which includes Certified Diabetes Educators, RDs, RNs, and pharmacist working in an accredited Diabetes program through the American Diabetes Association.
• Enjoy a clinical focus on diabetes and a hybrid practice model of outpatient and inpatient consults that keeps you engaged, excited and constantly learning and growing.
• Develop expertise in state-of-the-art advanced diabetes technology such as insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring and more.
• Strong educational programs are provided to develop and on-board practitioners with ongoing support for clinical and career development/advancement in the area of diabetes and obesity. 
• Experienced candidates will have the ability to practice autonomously, carrying your own panel of patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting, with attendings available as support.
• This position is full time, with a unique 5-day work week that allows you to enjoy time off during the week in a model that incorporates one weekend a month. No nights or holidays. 
• Rich academic environment and opportunities to grow and engage in NP and PA student education if interested.

Qualifications:  BC Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with strong interest in diabetes care.  Strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning is essential.

 The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range.  Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.  Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Endocrinology AP: $126,000 – $159,600
