Job Description

Responsibilities/Job Description:

Fairview Health Services is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner Medical Director, Acute and Diagnostic Services, to provide strategic and operational leadership for Fairview s ADS clinics. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals and drives excellence in patient care, quality outcomes, provider engagement, and financial performance. The Medical Director serves as a leader, mentor, and change agent fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Practice Details:

  • 1 FTE (0.4 FTE Admin and 0.6 FTE clinical)
  • Provide leadership and oversight to physicians and advanced practice providers within assigned clinic(s).
  • Manage daily operations through the Daily Engagement System (DES) and ensure execution of strategic and operational plans.
  • Monitor clinic capacity and utilization to ensure access and meet community needs.
  • Partner with the operations director to develop, monitor, and manage financial budgets, provider productivity, and overall performance.
  • Lead, sponsor, and support continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles.
  • Participate in service line committees, projects, and programmatic management as assigned.
  • Promote positive, collaborative relationships across departments, service lines, and community partners.
  • Support professional development, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing performance management.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 5 years in clinical practice with proven success in quality, practice management, and patient experience
  • Administrative and/or managerial experience
  • Demonstrated success in fostering a patient-centered, safe environment of care
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to mentor and influence at all levels
