You will collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide high-quality, timely care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions. About the Role- Perform comprehensive and focused histories and physical exams on patients of all ages
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, EKGs, and imaging
- Formulate differential diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Perform procedures such as - suturing lacerations, incision and drainage, splinting and joint reductions, wound care, and more
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and consult specialty services when appropriate
- Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with departmental policies
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
