Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary Aortic Disease Program in San Francisco, California. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside nationally and internationally recognized leaders in aortic disease care Dr. Matthew Solomon, Dr. David Liang, and Dr. Ed Chen in a program dedicated to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and research of complex aortic conditions.
About the Opportunity
As a key member of the Aortic Disease Program, you ll support patients across the continuum of care from outpatient consultations and longitudinal management to inpatient care and procedural support. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to a growing, innovative program focused on excellence in patient outcomes and translational research.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new evaluations, follow-ups, and hospital-based management
Assist with aortic procedures and perioperative care, including coordination of imaging, diagnostics, and surgical planning
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery teams
Conduct telehealth visits and manage patient communications via the Epic platform
Facilitate continuity of care through coordination with referring providers and subspecialists
Educate patients and families on aortic disease, treatment options, and long-term management
Support clinical quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives
Engage in opportunities for clinical research and program development

Qualifications:Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
Licensure & Certifications:
Current California NP or PA license
DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Additional certifications as required by department
Experience:
Prior experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or aortic disease preferred
New graduates with a strong interest in complex cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply
