Position Overview

We’re seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.

At Salud, our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work in a team-based care model that supports patients and their families in:

In this role, you will:

• Perform routine clinic operations
• Take patient histories
• Perform physical assessments
• Provide care in alignment with the spirit and values of the SALUD mission statement

Qualifications

Education

• Must have graduated, or be graduating, from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Licensure

• Possess an unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing in the State of Colorado

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to speak Spanish is strongly preferred
• Sensitivity to low-income and ethnic minority communities is a must

Experience

• 3 years of experience in a clinical setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred

Salud is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), 501©3 nonprofit, operating 13 clinic locations, administrative and training site, and a mobile unit. We provide medical, dental, pharmacy and behavioral health care services.

As an FQHC Salud is governed by a patient-consumer Board of Directors, which ensures patients direct delivery of healthcare services. Salud receives operational funding from Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) to provide health care services in the communities we serve.

We focus on low-income, medically underserved populations as well as the migrant and seasonal farmworker population. Salud Family Health accepts Medicaid, Medicare, CHP+, and most private insurance plans. We offer a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. Insurance enrollment assistance is available.
