MONGAHELA, PENNSYLVANIA. Penn Highlands Healthcare has an opportunity for emergency medicine nurse practitioner to join our team in Penn Highlands Healthcare’s Southwest Region.

Penn Highlands Mon Valley – 30 minutes SE of Pittsbugh, PA: 

• Approximately 20,000 Annual Visits 
• Comfortable pace that allows time to take care of patients

• Supportive medical, administrative, and nursing leadership 
• Glidescope and bedside ultrasound in the ED 
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within the scope of your practice
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about their healthcare needs, treatments, and lifestyle changes
• Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate within state guidelines
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing, with certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Licensure: Current NP licensure in Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain licensure
• Experience: Prior experience as an NP in a healthcare setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
