Cardiac Surgery Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.

Join our dynamic and growing Cardiac Surgery Critical Care team, providing comprehensive care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients and participating in our robust Mechanical Circulatory Support Program, including VA/VV ECMO, Impella, temporary RVAD/LVAD, and durable LVAD implantation.

Position Highlights:

• Provide care in both the Cardiac ICU and step-down units within a busy academic cardiac surgical program offering the full spectrum of surgical procedures.

• Collaborate closely with a highly skilled, dedicated team of APPs, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and heart failure specialists.

• Participate actively in our academic environment with access to mentorship, ongoing educational opportunities, and professional development programs.

• Enjoy a structured schedule that includes a rotation of days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with 6 shifts per 2-week pay period.

• Be part of a comprehensive mechanical support program featuring both temporary and durable platforms, including ECMO and implantable VADs.

Qualifications: Board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants with a minimum of 1 year ICU experience.

Compensation:
The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Salary Range: $130,500 – 165,300
