In this role, you will perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in various locations, with the flexibility of PRN scheduling. Your expertise will directly contribute to the well-being of our nation's Veterans, ensuring they receive the evaluations and support they deserve.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- Experience in General Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension examinations or military-related assessments
- Familiarity with veterans' healthcare procedures and documentation
- Certification in relevant specialties or additional training relevant to veteran health services
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner program
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice experience, preferably in general or internal medicine
- Experience performing exams similar to C&P or health assessments
Other Requirements:
- Own a dedicated office space within the specified radius for consistent availability
- Reliable internet and computer setup for report submission and administrative tasks
- Ability to travel locally within assigned areas
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all applicable certification, licensure, and federal requirements
