Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields.
- Proven experience in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension evaluations.
- Strong interview and communication skills to perform interview-based exams.
- Ability to conduct physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Excellent organizational skills for documentation and report submissions.
- Ability to work independently in own office within specified geographic area.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience performing Compensation & Pension examinations.
- Familiarity with government or veterans' health programs.
- Additional certifications relevant to general medicine or medical assessments.
- Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse veteran populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completed graduate education in nursing leading to Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related fields.
- Prior experience working with veterans or in government-related healthcare assessments is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Own or have access to a professional office within a 50-mile radius of designated locations.
- Willingness to work on a PRN, ongoing basis, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- Participation in required training sessions and completion of exams per protocol.
- Must be local candidates; travel is included in the pay structure.
- Ability to perform administrative follow-up work such as report addendums and medical opinions.

Hourly Pay Rate: $600 for half-day shifts (up to 4 hours) | $1,200 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more) | One-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and first exams.
