In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older) in urgent and acute care centers. As the sole provider, you will diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of urgent medical conditions, perform minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigations, and utilize Epic EMR to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflow. You will collaborate closely with support staff, including center managers, medical assistants, and physician supervisors, to deliver top-quality patient care in a professional and compassionate manner.
Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent or acute care settings, hold current board certification (PA, Family NP, or NCCPA), and maintain current BLS certification. Proficiency with Epic EMR is required, and excellent soft skills are essential for effective communication with patients and team members. While travel reimbursements are not provided, support within a 65-mile radius from your home base is expected, with multiple locations requiring flexible support.
Preferred qualifications include strong procedural skills, ability to handle a diverse patient demographic (adults and children), and existing certification in relevant areas. New graduates are not considered; candidates must demonstrate proven proficiency in similar settings.
Additional requirements include onboarding that involves EMR training, clinical interviews, and ensuring credentialing and Medicare enrollment processes are completed.
