Job Title: Physician Assistant - Acute Care / Family Practice / Urgent Care (Full-Time, Locum-to-Perm)

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join our urgent care team in a full-time, permanent capacity through a locum-to-permanent arrangement. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing a diverse patient demographic, including both adult and pediatric patients, and comfortable functioning autonomously in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive urgent care services to adult and pediatric patients (ages 6 months and up), including minor procedures such as incision and drainage, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor interventions.
- Manage a patient volume typically averaging around 20 patients per day, with peaks up to 40, depending on the site.
- Use Epic EMR for all patient documentation and order entry, following initial training.
- Conduct assessments, diagnose, treat, and initiate appropriate follow-up care independently, acting as the sole provider during shifts.
- Collaborate with support staff, including center managers, medical assistants, and physician supervisors, to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to all clinical and safety standards, maintaining compliance with board certification requirements and licensure.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 months of previous clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice.
- Board certification in PA (NCCPA) or Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Current BLS certification. Additional certifications in specific procedures or specialties are a plus.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR or similar electronic medical records systems.
- Ability to independently see and treat all patients in the center.
- Strong soft skills, including excellent communication, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively with support staff and patients.
- Willingness to work at multiple sites within a 65-mile radius, supporting various locations as needed.
- No supervision requirements; a supervising physician is provided by the organization.
- Must not be a recent graduate; at least 12 months of relevant experience is required.
