St. Alexius Health Bismarck is seeking a skilled Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to join our compassionate team on a locum basis. This critical role involves working night shifts in our Level 3 NICU, performing high-level procedures, and coordinating air and ground transports to ensure the best outcomes for neonatal patients. Required Skills:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license with Neonatology certification
• Proven experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) settings
• Proficiency in airway management, central line placement, peripheral arterial lines, and intubation
• Ability to perform and assist with high-risk deliveries
• Strong skills in emergency procedures and neonatal stabilization
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Willingness and capability to conduct air and ground neonatal transports (fixed wing and ground ambulance)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with pediatric airway management and neonatal resuscitation
• Advanced certifications (e.g., NRP, STABLE)
• Prior staffing or locum experience in NICU settings
• Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced clinical environments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)

Other Requirements:

• Available for a scheduled start on 12/08/2025 with ongoing night shift coverage (3 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
• Must be willing to engage in both air and ground neonatal transports
• Comfortable working in an inpatient setting with 24/7 support staff
• Duration: Ongoing, with flexible scheduling to fit the specified dates

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $87.10
