What You Need to Succeed:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery
• Ability to harvest veins and assist surgeons during open-heart procedures
• Proficient in suturing and pre/post-operative surgical care
• Skilled in managing adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Epic EMR system
• Previous exposure to ICU settings and surgical intensive care units
• Additional certifications such as ACLS or ASATT

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
• At least 2 years of hands-on cardiothoracic surgical experience

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work scheduled hours from 06:00 to 14:00, Monday through Friday
• Willingness to work additional hours (overtime) and be on call as needed
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
• Valid state licensure and national certification for Physician Assistants
• Travel or licensing reimbursements as applicable

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1,560.00
• Daily Rate: $2,000 (includes 8 hours plus call coverage)
• Orientation Rate: $250/hr
• Callback Rate: $337.50/hr
