Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine settings
- Board-certified: NCCPA for PAs or Family Nurse Practitioner certification
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system and ability to handle all aspects of patient care independently
- Strong soft skills, including excellent communication, empathy, and professionalism
- Ability to perform minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation
- BLS certification is mandatory
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with pediatric care (patients 6 months and older)
- Additional procedural skills or certifications
- Prior work in outpatient urgent care settings
- Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare enrollment processes
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Active state license to practice as a PA or NP in North Carolina
- At least 12 months of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- Familiarity with working with a support team in a collaborative environment
Other Requirements:
- Capable of supporting multiple sites within a 65-mile radius
- Availability to start on 12/31/2025
- Ability to independently manage a patient load up to 40 patients per day
- Willingness to undergo EMR training and onboarding
This position offers a highly competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00. While travel reimbursement is limited to mileage, support for licensure, certification, and other professional expenses is included.
