We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional patient care at a premier Level 1 Trauma Center in Toledo, Ohio. This is your opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery program, supporting patient recovery and surgical excellence across multiple facilities.

As a key member of our care team, you will cover inpatient post-op floors and ICU settings, performing duties such as suturing, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, writing prescriptions, and conducting pre-op physical exams. The role offers autonomy with supervision during rounds, ensuring you can deliver the highest standard of care while collaborating with experienced physicians.

This position presents a unique chance to work flexible, day-shift hours (Monday through Friday), 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for 10 days each month, including over two weekends. In addition, you'll participate in a call schedule of 10 days per month with a 1:3 call ratio, supporting patients during critical times. The role involves managing adult and geriatric patient populations with an average of 12 patients per day, utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Ideal candidates will possess current NP licensure, relevant clinical experience in cardiothoracic or surgical settings, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. While prior experience in ICU or post-surgical care is advantageous, strong clinical foundational skills are essential. Certification in acute care or critical care nursing is preferred.

Additional qualifications include the ability to work independently with a supervising physician available via phone 24/7. The position may require credentialing within 60-90 days, contingent upon documentation completeness. Reimbursement is provided for travel expenses including flights, hotels, and rental cars.
