Job Overview:
The APN is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for children in accordance with professional standards and hospital guidelines.
The APN works collaboratively with other members of the medical staff to provide care to patients in the inpatient acute rehabilitation or long-term care setting.
The APN possesses a comprehensive knowledge base established within a sound theoretical framework and utilizes advanced assessment skills, specialty expertise, and age-appropriate interventions.
The APN provides staff and patient education and is an integral member of the health care team.
The APN will provide bedside clinical and on-call coverage of patient care areas in CSH Inpatient settings and will share in these responsibilities with other members of the Inpatient team.
