What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Valid Physician Assistant license in Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiothoracic surgery experience
• Proficiency in pre-op assessments, post-op care, and surgical documentation
• Strong knowledge of suturing, diagnosing, treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, and medication management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work autonomously with supervision available when needed
• EMR proficiency, preferably with EPIC

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma or high-acuity surgical setting
• Certification in Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery techniques
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and interdisciplinary team collaboration

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
• Current NCCPA certification
• At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in cardiothoracic or surgical subspecialties

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work 10 days per month, including over weekends
• Availability for call coverage at a 1:3 ratio
• Credentialing timeframe estimated at 60-90 days
• Ability to travel locally if needed; facility reimburses for hotel, flight, and rental car
