Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is currently recruiting a Trauma & Acute Care PA or AGACNP, to join our growing Trauma & Acute Care Surgery (TACS) service line.  This opportunity is located at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, a verified adult ACS-COT Level I trauma center.

Practice Overview

• NGMC Gainesville: 700-bed, multi-state regional referral, Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Join 7 double-boarded trauma/acute care surgeons + 4 orthopedic traumatologists.
• 24-hour in-house APP coverage (11 APP providers).
• 16-bed surgical/trauma ICU with daily multi-disciplinary rounds.
• 32-bed dedicated TACS unit.
• New state of the art ED with six trauma bays.
• 227,000+ ED visits annually (153,000 at Gainesville campus).
• 3,200+ annual trauma patients in TQIP registry.
• 2,400+ Acute Care Surgery cases annually.
• Home to an ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency Program.

Candidate Requirements

• Acute Care Certification (ACNP) required for NPs/Board Certification via NCCPA for Physician Assistants.
• ACLS/BLS
• Strong team-oriented mindset and commitment to growth
• Willingness to participate in outreach to rural hospitals and EMS partners
