Job Description

TeamHealth has an opportunity for a skilled emergency medicine (EM) physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) to join our team at Swain Community Hospital in Bryson City, North Carolina, approximately 60 miles southwest of Asheville and 50 miles from the Georgia and South Carolina border.

Swain Community Hospital is a critical access hospital. Annual visits hover around 8,900 per year. This hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center with approximately 48 hospital beds. 

Candidates should have current emergency medicine experience and experience working as a sole provider. APC will primarily work in the emergency department (ED) and also be responsible for rounding in hospital medicine (HM) while on shift. ATLS certification is required.
