Renown Health is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospitalist Medicine team, providing high quality acute inpatient care during night shift operations. This role supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient centered care within Nevada’s largest integrated health system. The position also contributes to Renown’s academic partnership with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and the Ovris School of Nursing, supporting a culture of clinical excellence, education, and continuous improvement.
Position Highlights
Comprehensive inpatient assessments including admissions and cross coverage
Collaboration with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
Management of acute changes in patient condition with appropriate escalation
Participation in quality and academic initiatives aligned with Renown and UNR
Full time night shift schedule

Key Responsibilities
Provide inpatient evaluation and management for adult acute care patients
Perform admissions, cross coverage, and clinical decision making in collaboration with the hospitalist team
Coordinate care with nursing, specialists, and ancillary services
Document accurately in the EMR and ensure continuity of care
Respond to rapid changes in patient status with confidence and clinical skill
Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited PA program
Current Nevada PA license or eligibility
Acute care or hospital medicine experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently at night
