Locum - NP/PA - Emergency Medicine Mt Pleasant, MI

Required Skills:
- Current NP or PA licensure and certification in Michigan (or able to obtain licensure promptly)
- Proven experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
- Ability to autonomously see and manage patients during assigned shifts
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with supervising physicians as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working in a hospital emergency department or similar fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR or other EMR systems
- Basic trauma or ACLS certification
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and clinical demands
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a minimum of 2 years of emergency or acute care experience
- Board certification in respective discipline is highly preferred
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work 10-hour day shifts from 11 AM to 9 PM
- Willingness to support ongoing hospital coverage needs through a flexible float pool approach
- Must complete credentialing within approximately 90 days
- Immunizations including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, Covid, TB, and TDAP required for credentialing and compliance
- Must clock in/out using DocTime; no timesheets will be approved
- The hourly pay rate is competitive and will be confirmed upon offer, with benefits including weekly direct deposit and comprehensive medical coverage, along with other reimbursements and incentives
