Job Description

About this role: 

As a Physician Assistant (PA) in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, you will be the first to work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing compassionate care and excellent patient experience. In this new role you will work alongside a well-established group of 3 orthopedic surgeons and 5 PAs managing patients at the McKay-Dee Hospital, McKay-Dee Orthopedic South Clinic, and our new developing Orthopedic Urgent Care.

In this role, you can anticipate:

  • Working full time, 40 hours/week with rotating call shifts (more information about shifts and schedule will be discussed further in an interview)

  • Evaluating and treating orthopedic injuries such as minor procedures including reductions, injections, laceration repair, and wound care

  • Having a multidisciplinary approach to providing care and enjoy working in a team setting

  • This position includes up to $7,500 in relocation assistance, if applicable

  • The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of PA experience. Ortho and/or urgent care experience is highly preferred.

What you’ll bring:

  • PA degree from a fully accredited program

  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a PA in orthopedic trauma – preferred

  • New Grads are welcome to apply with the requirement of having successfully completed an orthopedic rotation

  • Active, unobstructed Utah license, or the ability to obtain one

  • BLS certification and DEA

  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
