Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine

In this vital role, you will provide essential healthcare services to Veterans through comprehensive Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct interview-based assessments and perform basic physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
• Complete and submit detailed reports and addendums in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with a team committed to accurate and compassionate care for Veterans.
• Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day or full-day shifts, providing services within your local area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification.
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
• Experience with compensation and pension exams is preferred.
• Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience performing Compensation & Pension examinations.
• Familiarity with VA protocols or military healthcare settings.
• Certification in relevant areas or additional specialized training.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing or related field.
• At least 1 year of clinical practice experience.
• Prior experience in legal medicine, military healthcare, or veteran services is a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Must be local candidates within 50 miles of designated exam sites.
• Ability to complete required credentialing and onboarding promptly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including half-days or full days as needed.
• No travel reimbursements are provided outside the rate structure; certifications or portal training costs are not reimbursable prior to employment.
