Our anesthesia care team provides services in Missouri at our main campus and across the state line at CMK. We offer a high level of acuity, coverage of all specialties, and encourage autonomy and growth. Anesthetists have a variety of shifts available, including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, and average 8 weekend day call shifts per year. No weekday or weekend call.

 

The anesthesia care team at CMH includes physicians, anesthetists, residents, and fellows. Anesthetists serve as paid preceptors to rotating anesthesia students and have opportunities to serve on department and hospital-wide committees. The perioperative team at CMH provides exceptional patient care and creates an environment of inclusion, support, and encouragement.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. Responsibilities

Clinical Practice: expertly provides anesthesia services as delineated by the collaborative practice agreement for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
 

Qualifications

 

Education

  • Master’s degree and graduation from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or successor agency) — required
  • No experience necessary; on the job training provided

Licensure

All licenses must be obtained by the time of hire; not required at time of application.

  • Registered Nurse – Missouri (Multistate or Missouri RN license) — required upon hire
  • Registered Nurse – Kansas (Multistate or Kansas RN license) — required upon hire
  • Active RN Compact License for all states outside KS & MO — required upon hire

Certifications

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — required upon hire
  • CRNA – Missouri — required upon hire
  • CRNA – Kansas — required upon hire
  • Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) — required upon hire
  • Required life support certifications
    (per Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy) — required upon hire
  • Specialty certification relevant to the unit’s patient population
    (determined by the Nurse Manager/Director) — preferred
