Gastroenterology APP in The Villages, FL

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant must have interest in assisting with the treatment of patients with Gastroenterology diseases. Provider will work under supervision of one of our board-certified Gastroenterology Physicians.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

MSN required. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program. Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience preferred. 
                                                                              OR

Successful completion of physician assistant practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved physician assistant program. Minimum three years of physician assistant experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Must possess a current CPR/BLS or ACLS certification and current health records with the appropriate immunizations or proof of immunity to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
