RN Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Independence, OR

Setting: Employer-Based Clinic | Primary & Urgent Care
Schedule: PRN / As-Needed Coverage
Clinic Hours: Monday–Wednesday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay: Starting at $74.00/hour, with additional earning potential based on experience
No Weekends | No On-Call

Medcor is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide PRN coverage in our employer-based clinic located within a manufacturing site in Independence, OR.

This position focuses on primary care, urgent care, occupational health, and preventive services.

Please note: This is an as-needed position with no guaranteed hours. Providers with availability to pick up occasional weekday shifts are encouraged to apply.

The Opportunity

You’ll provide care to employees while working alongside onsite clinical staff, a Medcor oversight physician, and Medcor’s clinical and operational teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide primary and acute episodic care
• Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses
• Manage workers’ compensation-related conditions
• Provide urgent and preventive care
• Perform surveillance and regulatory examinations
• Educate patients on medical conditions, treatment plans, and healthy behaviors
• Document care using Medcor’s EMR and clinical tools
• Collaborate with workplace health, safety, HR, and operational teams
• Support workplace wellness and preventive health programs

Qualifications & Work Requirements

Required

• Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current, unrestricted Oregon license
• Current DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• Strong computer skills and EMR experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative, patient-focused approach
• Comfortable working in an onsite manufacturing/worksite clinic environment

Preferred Experience

• Occupational health
• Employer-based/worksite clinic experience
