Job Description

At SSM Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, renowned for our excellent patient care, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Program.

The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is a comprehensive care center for adults with congenital heart defects.  The program is accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) and offers a full range of services, including diagnostic tests, advanced treatment options, and coordinated care with other hospitals.  We offer a wide range of tests to diagnose or confirm CHD in children and adults, including advanced cardiac imaging (cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, metabolic stress test, echocardiograms).

Requirements:

  • Prefer experienced but will consider new graduates based on clinical and rotation experience.
  • Practice experience in pediatrics, cardiology, intensive care, hospitalist medicine, proceduralist, O.R., or general family / internal medicine will be reviewed.
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant or ACNP or FNP certified.
  • Current PA licensure or RN and NP licensure in the State of Missouri.

Position:

  • Advanced Practitioner will balance between working in the clinic to support the cardiologist, as well as some inpatient consults, and independently following patients.
  • See patients ages 18+.
  • Anticipate seeing 6-8 patients per day once fully onboarded.
  • Daytime call responsibilities are intermittently shared with the team.
  • Anticipated schedule of 8a-5p, Monday-Friday.
  • Care is delivered between both the adult and pediatric facilities (SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital), but predominantly care is based out of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
