Inpatient Stroke Neurology Advanced Practitioner Opportunity

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group.  Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.  We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our organization.

Position Highlights –

• Join our experienced team of 17 Advanced Practitioners on our Neurological/Stroke Consult Service Line, part of our Neuroscience division, a top 100 spinal surgical programs in the country.
• With excellent APP and physician support, you will respond to stroke calls in all areas of the hospital, as well as provide general neurology consults as needed.
• Baystate is proud to be a primary stroke center, working towards Comprehensive Stroke Designation.
• As an academic rich environment, candidates can participate in both weekly medical grand rounds and monthly Neurological grand rounds.
• This is a full-time position, with rotating 12 hour shifts consisting of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be BE/BC as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 3 years’ experience. Strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality, and lifelong learning is essential.

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range.  Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.  Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full-time commitment for exempt employees.

Inpatient Neurology/Stroke AP: $135,000 - $171,000
