We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Urgent Care team on a PRN basis. This role provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The provider must be comfortable working independently while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
  • Perform common urgent care procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, laboratory tests, and other studies as appropriate.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain compliance with clinic policies, OSHA standards, HIPAA regulations, and other healthcare guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Active state license and DEA registration.
  • Board certification (or eligibility if recently graduated).
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
  • Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform procedures including suturing and minor surgical procedures.

Work Schedule

  • PRN/as-needed coverage for urgent care shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
