We are seeking dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioners with a background in general medicine to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans. Required Skills:
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Oklahoma or eligible for licensure reciprocity
- Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Ability to conduct interview-based assessments with some physical testing (range of motion, muscle strength)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with compensation & pension evaluations is a plus but not mandatory
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with veterans' health assessments or military-related evaluations
- Knowledge of medical documentation and report writing
- Basic understanding of diagnostic diagnostics and medical reading platforms
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Past involvement in Compensation & Pension exams or veteran health assessments is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Must have own office within 50 miles of Edmond, OK if choosing the provider-owned site option
- Willingness to work one day per week at designated locations in Lawton and Stillwater, OK
- Transportation to and from exam sites
- Ability to complete examinations within designated time frames
- Compliance with all relevant licensure, certification, and credentialing procedures
The hourly rate is $402.00, with flat rates of $600 for half-day shifts (4 hours or less) and $1200 for full-day shifts (5 hours or longer). A one-time bonus of $650 is available upon successful completion of initial training and your first exams.
