Join Our Team as a Physician Assistant - General Surgery!

We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Physician Assistant to support our General Surgery and Surgical Oncology teams in a full-time locum position. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic setting, covering a critical time period while expanding your clinical skills.
This role offers the chance to work in a multidisciplinary environment, primarily focusing on inpatient care and operating room assistance. You will perform as a first assist, manage patient calls, and handle a variety of surgical cases, including complex oncological procedures. The position features a flexible schedule with no on-call requirements, providing a balanced work experience. The hourly pay rate is $1.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick time, and potential travel or licensure reimbursements.
Required Skills:
- Active California Medical License and CA DEA registration
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in surgical settings
- Strong OR and surgical skills, capable of working independently
- Experience managing inpatient and outpatient cases
- Proficiency in patient call management
- Ability to perform as a first assist in various surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Robotics experience and certification (please attach certification if available)
- Experience in surgical oncology and general surgery cases
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years working in surgical or oncology environments
- Proven ability to perform independently in busy surgical settings
Other Requirements:
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week; OT applies after 40 hours
- Flexibility to work varying shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- No call responsibilities required
- Ability to start on or around 06/08/2026, covering approximately 8-10 weeks
- Willingness to accept any additional reimbursements for travel, licensure, or certification costs if applicable
