Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician Assistant (PA) - Urgent Care in Martinsville, VA

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide episodic urgent care and injury treatment to patients of all ages.
- Manage a variety of clinical tasks independently, with supervision available via phone from a supervising physician.
- Document patient encounters accurately using the Anthem EMR documentation system.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver patient-centered care efficiently.
Required Skills:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in Virginia.
- Prior experience in urgent care or occupational health settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with occupational health procedures.
- Knowledge of local insurance and billing procedures.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- NCCPA certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care or similar settings.
- Proven track record of working independently with minimal supervision.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work ongoing as needed starting from March 19, 2026.
- Willingness to travel within the local area; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate for local providers.
- Maintain current certifications, including BLS and ACLS as applicable.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on clinic needs.
