The Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial Hospital is expanding our Midwifery Services team and currently hiring Full-Time and Per Diem Certified Nurse Midwives.

Our midwives are essential members of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.

About the Certified Nurse Midwife Role

In this role, you will provide continuous care and management of mothers and babies throughout the maternity cycle, including: Performing prenatal histories and physical examinations Managing prenatal care for normal obstetric patients Diagnosing the onset of labor and completing admission assessments Providing professional care during labor, delivery, and postpartum Educating patients and families to support healthy transitions Ensuring continuity of care through referrals, follow-up, and coordination Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care Serving as a clinical resource for peers, residents, and other health professionals Maintaining expertise in midwifery and advanced practice nursing This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to recognize when higher-level intervention is needed, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of therapeutic care.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing Valid Florida RN/ARNP license or eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Midwife National Board Certification as a Nurse Midwife American Heart Association BLS (and applicable life support certifications)
