Hospitalist NP/PA | Join Mercy Health Toledo’s Inpatient Care Team

Mercy Health is seeking a Night Shift Advanced Practice Provider to join our inpatient hospitalist team at Perrysburg Hospital. This is an opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment within a well-established community hospital serving the greater Toledo region.

You will work alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers, delivering high-quality inpatient care with strong clinical support and a team-oriented culture.

Position Overview
This is a full-time, inpatient night shift role offering consistency in schedule and a manageable patient census.

  • Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Setting: 100 percent inpatient hospital medicine
  • Patient volume: approximately 8 to 10 patients per shift

Key Responsibilities
This role focuses on providing comprehensive inpatient care and collaborating closely with the broader care team.

  • Perform admissions, history and physicals, and consults
  • Conduct bedside assessments and participate in rounding
  • Assist with rapid responses and acute care management
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies and manage treatment plans
  • Support discharge planning and transitions of care
  • Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications
We welcome both experienced providers and new graduates who are looking to build their careers in hospital medicine.

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (ACNP, AGACNP, FNP, or PA-C)
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in an inpatient setting
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

A Typical Shift
The night shift includes a mix of admissions, patient follow-up, and acute care support. Providers spend time performing bedside evaluations, coordinating with consulting services, reviewing charts, entering orders, and assisting with transitions of care.
