Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist, 3-12's, Nights

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3-12's Nights (5:30p or 6:00p to 5:30a or 6:00a)
• flexible scheduling (every other Friday Night)
• No Weekends! No Holidays! No Call! 
• primarily supports inpatient spine post-operative care
• Very well supported team, will not feel like your on an island by yourself 
• NP's collaborate with both an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon as well as a neurosurgery Spine Surgeon
• Preferred: Acute Care experience

Role Purpose

The nurse practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider, working within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families across practice settings. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered within the inpatient setting. The role demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. They work with staff, nurses, physicians, and medical/surgical trainees to assure safe, effective, quality patient care. The position requires coverage of evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Minimum Board Certification(s):BJH: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Preferred Board Certification(s):BJH: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) BJH Women’s Assessment Center: Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) SLCH: Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (CPNP-AC)
