Physician Assistant (PA), Family Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Medicine Provider – Urgent Care

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services for adult and pediatric patients (6 months+), handling a high patient volume with professionalism and compassion.
• Perform minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, ear irrigation, and other urgent care interventions.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation, ensuring precise and thorough patient records.
• Operate independently as the sole healthcare provider at designated centers, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and soft skills in patient and staff interactions.
• Adhere to credentialing and regulatory requirements, including necessary certifications and licensing, to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with support staff and offsite physicians to deliver seamless patient care.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 12 months of urgent care or comparable experience treating both adult and pediatric populations.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
• Board certification in PA (NCCPA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (NP Board Certification).
• Valid state licensure, PA certification, Family NP certification, BLS certification, and NC DEA license.
• Ability to independently see and treat patients, perform minor procedures, and manage a high-volume clinic.
• Strong soft skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with support staff.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with high-volume urgent care environments.
• Knowledge of minor procedures such as lac repairs and I&D.
• Bilingual abilities.
• Previous experience working in multiple locations or supporting a flexible schedule.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing.
• Certified as a Physician Assistant with NCCPA or a Family Nurse Practitioner with relevant state licensure.
• At least 12 months of clinical practice in an urgent care or similar setting.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to participate in mandatory EMR and onboarding training on scheduled Wednesdays.
• Location flexibility within a 60-mile radius of residence to support multiple sites.
• Willingness to undergo credentialing, clinical screening, and onboarding processes.
• Travel reimbursement limited to mileage only; travel and lodging expenses are not covered.

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (Note: Ensure the rate aligns with current industry standards in your recruitment efforts).
