Required Skills:

• Valid Physician Assistant license and CA DEA registration
• Proficiency in endoscopic and radial artery harvesting
• Ability to interpret EKGs, X-rays, labs, and ECMO data
• Experience with IABP and Impella devices
• Strong clinical assessment, surgical assistance, and inpatient rounding skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery settings
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and postoperative care
• Familiarity with on-call procedures and weekend rotations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Certified Physician Assistant with active California licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular or thoracic surgical setting
• Prior experience participating in surgical assist and outpatient clinics

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on or before June 1, 2026
• Willingness to work shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call duties from 6 PM to 7 AM
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day, with overtime applied after 8 hours
• On-call rotation every other weekend and two weekdays
• Weekly hours: 8 per day, with additional hours as needed
• Travel, licensure, and certification reimbursements where applicable
