Program details
• 1,000 bed Level 1 trauma center Teaching Hospital - Dallas, TX
• ECMO Platinum Center of Excellence
Length of program: 12 months Two cohorts per year: Spring and Fall
Time commitment: 5 13-hour shifts per week + didactic
Cohort size: 2-4 APP Fellows
Rotations
? Cardiothoracic & Transplant ICU
? ECMO ICU
? Surgical Trauma ICU
? Emergency General Surgery
? Trauma
? Electives: Nephrology, Infectious disease, palliative care, and more!
Procedural skills gained
? E-FAST & Point of Care Ultrasound
? Intubation
? Central line placement
? Arterial line placement
? Chest tube insertion + thoracentesis
? Bronchoscopy
? ECMO cannulation wire assistant
Applicant Requirements
? Current or eligible for PA-C or AGACNP-BC board certification
? If PA: at least 1 clinical rotation in the ICU
? If AGACNP: at least 1 year of ICU bedside nursing experience
