Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Roanoke, VA

Role Overview

• Schedule: 5 a week within Monday to Friday
• Start off at 10 patients per day and grow to 15 patients per day
• Provide patient care in a skilled nursing facility by conducting rounds in their short-term units
• Conduct documentation at home with provided iPad laptop within 48 hours of seeing patients
• Commute to a few facilities within a half-hour of Roanoke

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Collaborate with facility staff to enhance patient care
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with a mental health diagnosis
• Prescribe and manage medications
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation

Requirements

• Hold a valid full PMHNP license
• Active VA license
• Active DEA preferred but not required
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care is preferred but not require

Expected compensation is estimated range of $100,000 - $120,000 annually with no cap on productivity income potential.
