As our Physician Assistant, Urology, you will become an essential member of a thriving Urology department within Mercy Medical Group, a leading multi-specialty practice in the Sacramento region. This role focuses on an outpatient clinic with hospital rounding on pre-op and post op patients. We empower you to provide crucial clinical support, delivering high-quality care to patients with diverse urologic needs across Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations, enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Every day you will manage a dynamic patient caseload, conducting new patient consultations and follow-up visits, employing your expertise to manage a wide range of urologic problems. Your responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, formulating differential diagnoses, and collaboratively establishing treatment plans with supervising physicians. You will educate and counsel patients on diagnoses and treatments, write orders, prescribe medications (including controlled substances), ensure meticulous documentation, and serve as a vital liaison for patients and healthcare teams. Occasional hospital rounds for post-operative care may also be included.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant with a robust understanding of urology, capable of operating effectively within your scope of practice. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to patient education, and a meticulous approach to clinical documentation. This full-time position offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or call responsibilities
