Expected pay for this position is $60.39 - $68.10/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant PA), Oncology is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing care to a diverse population of patients seeking oncology services.
  • The APP Oncology will perform a variety of functions including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention within their scope of practice.
  • Performs ongoing communication and works to promote quality of care through collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members, patients and families.
  • The APP Oncology demonstrates service excellence and accountability through recognizing the direct relationship between cost-effective and efficient provision of care and services including the impact of access to care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.
  • Licensure / Certification:
    • American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
    • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics
    • Illinois Registered Nurse License, and an Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License, or an Illinois Physician Assistant License
  • Other Skills/ Knowledge:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Oncology Experience
  • Licensure/ Certification: Oncology Nursing Certification
